PARKWAY DRIVE To Release Sydney Opera House Performance As 'Home' Live Album

October 7, 2026

Australia's PARKWAY DRIVE played a career-defining Sydney Opera House show in June 2025, performing alongside a full symphonic orchestra for the one-night-only event. The band has now announced that the resulting live album, "Home - Live At The Sydney Opera House", will be released on December 4 via Epitaph. The first taste of the highly anticipated effort, a stunning rendition of "Prey", is available below.

The soundtrack to their landmark film "Parkway Drive: Home" (Mushroom Studios),which will be screening in select cinemas next month, "Home - Live At The Sydney Opera House" captures the band's unforgettable sold-out, black-tie performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

A radical departure from PARKWAY DRIVE's signature arena pyro spectacle, "Home" marks the band's most ambitious live show to date, reimagining their music with a full symphony orchestra and special guests. The soundtrack immerses audiences in the band's most technically challenging performance of their career, with the five self-taught PARKWAY musicians playing alongside some of the world's most accomplished orchestral performers. The album features Nooky, who guests on "Shadow Boxing", as well as former TONIGHT ALIVE frontwoman Jenna McDougall, who appears on "A Deathless Song". The record opens with "Welcome To Country", featuring Matthew Doyle.

Independently funded at a level normally reserved for an entire European arena tour, the band risked everything on redefining what PARKWAY DRIVE is, for one night only in front of just 2,000 seated guests. The show sold out in three minutes, with fans travelling from all over the globe to witness the history-making event.

PARKWAY DRIVE frontman Winston McCall told Rolling Stone Australia that recording the concert was a key factor in booking the iconic venue.

"We wanted to build something which was a reconceptualization of what PARKWAY DRIVE is in a place that's very iconically Australian and create a very iconically Australian show," he said. "It was all seated, black tie, played on grass with a full symphonic orchestra backing, a flipped-up set list from what you're used to, [and] everyone is in ball gowns and suits. It was the exact opposite of what you'd expect. And that was kind of what we wanted to do. We wanted to make something worthy of the moment."

He continued: "It was literally the loudest show that the Opera House has ever had before… You're confined to seats. There's no crowd surfers, there's no barrier."

The result is a powerful celebration of PARKWAY DRIVE's 20-year journey from metal underdogs to a global behemoth, paying respect to the place where it all began in what was no doubt the loudest show the hallowed concert hall has ever hosted.

Directed by Allan Hardy, who previously worked with the band on "Viva The Underdogs", alongside "Bra Boys" filmmaker Macario De Souza, "Parkway Drive: Home" is produced by Hype Republic and distributed by Mushroom Studios. The film will have its world premiere at Sydney's State Theatre on November 10, followed by a release in select Australian cinemas from November 12.
